The Canceled Alice in Wonderland Movie

Before Snow White was made by Disney Alice in Wonderland was under study. Mary Pickford would have played Alice. Another company, though, had their own Alice in Wonderland movie coming out soon so Disney dropped the project.

The first attempt would have been live action. There was a second attempt which would have been all animation. The drawings were very graphic in nature and the idea was different from the original script so again the film was dropped. (Why Disney just didn't get someone else to do the graphics is hard to figure out.)
