Alice's Journey Beyond the Moon

The book is treated as a "lost transcript." There are a few illustrations.

Alice goes through a telescope to get to the moon. There's a talking mare there along with aging cheese and a nasty queen. There's also a talking wood louse, a tower, the Man in the Moon, an illogic machine and a battle between worms using cannons.

I don't think the book works. It just doesn't seem to fit the 'feeling' of Alice in Wonderland. Wood lice and worms don't begin to match the types of characters Wonderland has. It also requires the reader to stretch their imagination much more than for Alice in Wonderland which, after all, took place on Earth under the surface of the ground.
