There's a lot of elitism displayed early in the episode as Annette finds out that the malt shop guy wasn't invited to the party (he doesn't run with 'their' crowd, according to the short kid named Steady), and when Annette mentions she knows Jet, Steady seems to indicate Jet is also 'beneath' the group.
Steady is also incredibly rude. He wants to rush to the party and doesn't even let Annette finish her drink.
A good part of the episode is a song Laura does at the party.
