5 C&L ET Clip

”Clip from Entertainment Tonight, May 2007, of Cagney and Lacey.” (You Tube Description)

This starts right off in stupid mode when the woman host talks about what lengths the show went to hide extra pounds that Sharon Gless and Tyne Daly had gained. Now, how stupid is that? You have a major TV series of the 1980's that explored controversial topics and at the same time centered on two women as leads. So what does the hostess want to know? Weight gain. This is a perfect example of just how low American “news” has gotten on television.

Then they talk about how hard it is for aging stars to get work. Then they talk about plastic surgery.

Then they discuss their bust sizes and “perking up” their breasts during the show.

It's over three and a half minutes into the interview before it even begins to touch on the topics that the show dealt with. Again, it just shows how superficial interviews can be.
