The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistence, episode 3

The episode starts out with the Princess (Brea) in the Order of Lesser Service. She gets a little bullying right off.

They get to a Podling village and the podlings are behavior in an incredibly dumb manner. In the orignial movie they were very nice, fairly intelligent beings. In this they remind me of a much lower version of Fraggles. The leader of the group says there is nothing more filthy than the Podlings and they plan to clean up the village. What gives them the right to do this? What gives them the right to judge the Podlings?

Another Princess is complaing about Brea. It was obvious in the last episode that she is jealous of Brea and it's more evident in this episode. The Gelfling are also cleaning the Podlings with the Podlings wearing all their clothes still on. Odd.

Arathim is still walking along with her friend. Hup, the being going along with her, tells her about the Gelfling clans not getting along with each other. She wants to unite them to stop the Darkening. (These two are the best characters and most believable so far.)

They meet the Stonewood Clan of Gelfling.

Rian, the one who is fleeing from the Skeksis after seeing their murder of Mira, is recognized by some other Gelfling who believe the Skeksis lie that he was the one that murdered her.

Tavra tells the Princess about the supposed murder by Rian and that she has been sent to hunt him down. The Chamberlain threatens to have the peeper beetle eat Rian's father's eye. Pretty disgusting and much nastier than anything done in the movie.

Rian tries to get help but is betrayed by a Maudra who refuses to believe that the Skeksis are evil.

Finally we see Aughra again, going to the Crystal Castle. She finds out the crystal has been perverted by the Skeksis. She sees an image in the crystal of the Skeksis killing Mira and taking her essence.

A moth leads the independent princess to the answers she seeks. She finds an underground chamber. (She is the most interesting character, the most believable and this whole section of the third episode is well done.)
