+ The Dark Crystal

The Dark Crystal:Age of Resistance, Episode 8

So, are the Stonewood Clan marching towards the Borg cube? Castle? Lack of ideas writers room?

At Stonewood the traitor Seladon shows up. Augra is there too. She threatens Aughra. Aughra puts her eye in Seladon's pocket and talks to one of the mind-taker creatures that she healed. The Chamberlain is trying to get a way to get back at the General.

Hup is badly injured. Rian and Deet are told by the Heretic and the Mystic to go after the glave and they show them the way to go. They find The Breath of Thra and Deet flies Rian to where they need to go.

The Stonewood Gelfling captives are drained. Seladon gets there and the Skeksis tell her just what they are doing. Rian and Deet get to Deet's home but it's destroyed, her people converted to Borg-Gelfling.

Then a darkened creature attacks. The Hunter gets back to the castle but he's badly wounded. He has Brea with him as a captive. Brea and Seladon argue. The Arathim (Borg-Gelfling) give a backstory to what happened to them. Deet and Brea tell the Arathim that they have been set up by the Skeksis.

The Nurlocs (the monsters eating the spiders) could end up killing all of them, both spiders and infected Gelfling. The spiders choose to join the Gelfling in their fight against the Skeksis (which we, of course, know will fail.)

So they all get to the surface together. BUT! Earlier in the episode the Arathim said, specifically, 'The Nurlocs have blocked every escape.' But this totally contradicts them getting to the surface if every escape had been blocked. Did the writers forget that they had them trapped in the caves? Pretty sloppy error.

They all get to the Sanctuary Tree. The Nurlocs (who apparently stopped bothering to block all the exits) are now attacking the tree. The tree gives its power to Deet who sees various visions including Jen healing the crystal. One of the visions include a Garthim.

Deet now has the power to remove the Darkening from creatures that are infected.
