Episode 1: "What happens in life, also happens on a plate"
The old Chef/owner dies and leaves somewhat fallen-apart restaurant to
youngest son. He contacts a former employee. The place has fallen into some
disrepute, with few customers and a group of employees who simply don't really
care about doing their best.
The new owner (Rokuro) contacts a man who used to me the garcon and asks him
to start working once again at the restaurant. This is Sengoku, and his
devotion to the former owner and the ideas of a quality restaurant are very
strong, but don't sit well at first with the other employees.
The chef obviously has a bad attitude, and the director (Noritomo) doesn't
realize at first that the younger man is his brother (and now owner of the
restaurant.)
Sengoku takes over temporarily when there is a problem with an obnoxious
customer and he helps throw them out of the restaurant. He is still very
reluctant to come to work there until he tastes one of the dishes made by
Shizuku, the female chef. That convinces him that there is potential for a
return to the better days for the restauant.
