Silvermist and the Ladybug Curse

Silvermist is a really nice fairy who, while out walking, has a white ladybug land on her head.

Which everyone else interprets as being a sign of some major bad luck, and that's exactly what starts happening to her. One thing seems to go wrong after another and, before long, Silvermist has lost confidence in herself as she has grown to believe she is cursed.

Her friends want to help her find or do something lucky to break the curse and, in the end, she manages to find a five-leaf-clover, believes the curse is countered, and proceeds to get her confidence back.

It's interesting how quick the other fairies are to believe that Silvermist is actually cursed, and it's interesting just how much of an effect that has on her own self-image and ability to do things.

A very good book.
