Japanese and Korean Exclusion League, May, 6 1906

This is a publication from the Japanese and Korean Exclusion League, which later became the Asiatic Exclusion League. It talks about how many of their records were lost in the fires that were started due to the San Francisco earthquake.

They note they have 231 organizations as members.

Then they have a resolution, part of which goes:

“Whereas, The conditions now existing in San Francisco and other cities of California by reason of earthquake and fire, make it imperative that still greater efforts be made to protect American labor from competition with Mongolians...”
