Occupational Currency

Most of these I got off of ebay, so I am identifying them with the identification used there.

The front and back of a 10 sen series which the ad identified as 'Allied Military Currency.' The front is sort of colorful and the back sort of dull.

This was identified as 1942, Oceania currency. This one obviously is Japanese currency and since it says its a one-pound note, it must have been used in some territory formerly controlled by England.

This was identified as currency for Malaysia, 1942-1944. The front side is sort of interesting.

This is a note for the Philippines, one peso.

This is a five peso Philippine note.

A ten-peso note from the Philippines.

A 10-peso note from the Philippines.

Front and back of a 10 rupee note from Burma, 1942.

This is a $1 U.S. bill. Notice first it's a silver certificate. It's stamped Hawaii on both the front and the back. I read somewhere that it was done so if the Japanese took over Hawaii the bills couldn't be used on the mainland, but I'm do really know if that is the actual purpose of the stamping or not.
