Episode 7: "Off-Season Swimsuits"

Machiko tricks her daughters into helping her clean up the house, but one-by-one they end up leaving. Kana and Tooru talk at the rink, then go to the park but end up betting into an argument. Yuka and a co-worker go shopping but Yuka sees Matsushima, his wife and son.

Meanwhile, back at the home, Nao is there and Jun has shown up. Machiko tricks him into doing housecleaning.

In the neighborhood where Machiko and her children live there is a "neighborhood newsletter", and various neighborhood events. Yumiko arrives and tells Machiko that she has been put in charge of the neighborhood winter event (since she wasn't at the meeting). Machiko goes to the ramen shop next where she tricks Koyangi into making posters for the event.

Tenko tells Kana that Nao is getting interested in Koji. Machiko is returning from the ramen shop when she finds Nao in a bookstore, looking at a book on soccer rules (soccer is the game Koji plays).

Kana walks home after school with Koji, and Tenko and Tooru are walking. They end up running into each other and Kana soon leave the group.

Koyangi has been tricked into making dinner. Yuka and her two guys show up, and the guys get into an argument over who has the best body so they take their shirts off and strike poses. Yumiko arrives and likes the scene. Machiko decides they will hold an off-season swimming meet.

On the day of the swim meet, Kana goes to Tooru's to wake him up and get him to attend. Nao's teacher shows up, and more and more people arrive. Koyangi plans to go there; he has his swimming gear with him, but before he can get on a bike to go to the meet a policemen sees him, assumes something is rather strange and takes him to a police box.

The meet seems to be very successful. Afterwards they end up at the ramen shop with "a woman should always dress to the hilt" being the opening saying, followed by "no impurities" and "be pure and refreshing."
