The cover.

The writer is covering the life of the average Nisei from being a school boy on. He discusses the Alien Land Law, Japanese Associations, the Nisei World, and the flourishing of various Nisei groups including the JACL.

The writer lived on a farm and talks about things he did on different days. He also shows the distinction between the efforts the Nisei were making to fit into American life, and how they had to deal with barbed wire and a loss of feeling that they would ever succeed in fitting in.
