World War II In the Pacific: A MyReportLinks.com Book

The book starts with a series of Internet links that are supposedly listed on their web site, although some links are, understandably, changed, added or missing. You have to input the passcode from a particular page of the book to use the MyReportLinks site. I think putting this first in the book is a mistake; material like this should go at the back of the book. It makes it look too much like the people putting the book are are more interested in promoting their own web site than the material that is discussed.

Having to put a passcode in to find links to sites is also a little on the unusual side, in my opinion.

Another thing that the book does that I find hard to understand is in the use of photographs. The “photographs” are really photographs of a computer screen showing a photograph on an Internet Explorer page, showing the url, etc. Why? It's a waste of space and is distracting. If they wanted the person to know the exact page the photo came from, on what website, then that could have been put under the photo itself. This method also makes some photos smaller than they should have been.

The pages of the book itself are made to look as if they are on a computer screen running Internet Explorer.

The actual information included in the book is condensed, of course, but well done.
