Tuna Canyon, California

This was an Immigration Detention Station which held Japanese immigrants and German and Italian nationals.

It was located at a former Civilian Conservation Corps camp near Pasadena. The individuals in the camp were considered by the government to be "potentially dangerous." Many of the Japanese detainees were sent to inland immigration camps.

Only English was allowed to be spoken at the camp.
