Admiral Yamamoto Shot Down

From Heroes of Aviation, DVD 5. (This has the most stupid-sounding narration I have ever heard on any WW II DVD clip.)

“The man ultimately responsible for the carnage at Pearl Harbor.”

The men who shot him down.

A Japanese coded message had been received and decoded, revealing Yamamoto's flight plans.

The mission to shoot down his plane is planned.

The planes doing the intercepting are P-38s.

These are supposedly the two planes targeted, one of which carried Yamamoto.
