Hello Morning 07-27-2003 Show #170

Shabondama ("Bubbles"): One of their better songs but, in my opinion, I just don't care for the dance arrangement used.

Ok. This is one time when my lack of fluency in Japanese really hurts. This section is almost all talking and I don't really even have a clue as to what is going on, other than girls take turns being in the "cage" with headphones on while the other girls are talking, I would presume about them but even that might not be correct. The only thing I can figure out is that one of the words on the large board is esa, which translates as bait or animal food. That fits in to the costuming theme, but how it applies to the girls I just don't know.

Another one of the "make the Princess laugh" skits. Generally it's pretty easy to make Maki Goto laugh on these segments.

A third girl goes into the cage, and then the fourth girl goes into the cage. These segment with the "caged girls" is quite long, much longer than normal segments in other shows.

On to a Mini Moni segment. They might have filmed a bunch of these at the same time as this is at least the third or fourth show I've watched with Mini Moni in the same costumes.

The girl coming out of the well refers to a traditional Japanese ghost story.

Then back to Hawaii for lessons on working with flowers.

Hello Pro Wide.

Back to the "girls in the cage" portion with one girl winning "most valuable speaker."
