4th Generation Audition

This audition added four members at one time: Ai Kago, Rika Ishikawa, Nozomi Tsuji and Hitomi Yoshizawa. By this time both Asuka Fukuda and Aya Ichiguro had left from the first generation of members.

The three chosen for the second generation, including Mari Yaguchi, Kei Yasuda and Sayaka Ichii.

Maki Goto, the one member chosen for the third generation.

Some 25,000 entries are received when a new round of selections is announced.

What I believe is being said here is that the 25,000 entries have been pruned to 35 possibilities for what, at the time, was going to be three positions.

The girls go into a training facility where they'll practice singing and dancing but also keep the place clean.

Rika Ishikawa

Kago Ai.

Yoshizawa Hitomi.

Tsuji Nozomi.

Dance and voice lessons are part of their work. Keeping the place clean, doing the cooking, etc, is also part of their work.

Tsunku announces he's chosen Rika Ishikawa as a new member.

Kago Ai is the next one chosen to be a new member.

Yoshizawa Hitomi is the third chosen. Originally, that would have ended it as there were only three new members scheduled to be chosen during this audition.

Tsuji Nozomi is chosen as a fourth new member.

The new members anxiously await their first meeting with the other members of the group.

The girls work individually and in small groups recording the song Happy Summer Wedding.
