Tomosaka Rie: Daisuki! 1996-2000

This is a two-CD set complete with a photo booklet. The photo booklet has some really, really cute photos of her; a very nice addition to the CD collection.

1. Koi Shiteru : I really like this song; it's one of my favorites of all that she's done. (see my description below of the third video)

2. Cappuccino : (see description below of the video)

3. Naichaisou: A very nice, gentle type of song with some good non-frentic guitar work.

4. Sonna no Ki ni shinai : A lot like the last song; fairly good, sort of limited range type of singing.

5. Mokuren no Cream : A song I definitely don't care much for. Muddied electric guitar work, annoying odd noises, and the singing on this track just isn't up to her usual quality.

6. Watashi ga Tsuiteru ja Nai: really good, upbeat, happy-sounding song.

7. Tasogare : a slow song, one which she seems to have a little trouble (not very much, just a little) with reaching some of the notes.

8. Hajimete no Sayonara :another slow song, but quite pretty and well sung.

9. Good for Us! :nice upbeat, good song.

10. Itoshii Toki: definitely one of my favorite songs that she has done. I like the singing, the pace and the musical arrangement itself.

11. Futari : another one of my favorite songs of hers; even better than the last one.

12. Inazuma Musume :yet another really, really good song.

13. Dotchi demo : this is a song that I sort of like a lot and sort of don't like much at the same time. The basic song I think is really good and I like the singing and beat, but the repetitive rap sections I find annoying.

14. Shampoo : not good at all, not good at all. Off-key piano playing and off-key singing combine to make this a rather unexceptional song.

15. Kushami : Makes up for the last song. I like this version and I like the video version.

16. Escalation (Live) : another one of her songs that I really like.

17. Hashi no Mannaka Utau : not really bad, not really good, either.

18. Shoujou Robot :

The second disk is a 5-cut VCD.

1. Cappuccino: This is a sing-along type of song with the lyrics being displayed and highlighted as she sings them. At times she's dancing in a sexy white outfit around a pole, and the other times she's dancing in a sexy black outfit by a mirror. In both cases her singing is really good and the video itself is very entertaining.

2. The second video has a series of different scenes being played as if on a spool of film and spooling up continuously, with a lot of the sections resembling something out of a American sixties hippie-type video (or out of Austin Powers, pretty much the same thing.) This is a really, really cute video, with the emphasis on the word "cute".

3. The next video is a beautifully filmed one, with Tomosaka Rie's voice showing her ability to hit a wide range of notes. It's a thoughtful video with a tune that is gentle and pretty at the same time.

4. Escalation: This is a really cute video showing Tomosaka Rie in a more "everyday" type of scene, having fun with various girl friends of hers. I like the song more than I did the first couple of times that I heard it.

5. This is another visually beautiful piece featuring her walking in a grassy field, in a small boat, and just play having fun. The song is also a gentle, very nice song, sung well by her.
