Devil Winds

In a twist on the normal plot of these movies, there's a male whose family was destroyed by a twister rather than a woman. To add something different, the movie envisions a scene where a tornado is going to hit an Environmental Disease and Control Lab, potentially spreading deadly microbes all over.

A guy works for the weather service. He and another are out watching the weather and think a tornado is going to form. He calls into the office but the guy there won't issue a warning since no tornado has actually been seen. The tornado forms, hits the main guy's house and kills his wife.

He leaves weather and becomes a policeman elsewhere, then returns for his daughter's graduation. She works at a place that stores dangerous microbes. The guy and a friend check out a storm later and a tornado appears. They are followed by a news reporter. The reporter's truck gets hit by lightning and they pile into the weather van to escape the tornado.

There's a guy at the microbe center that is trying to convince the guy running the place that the building is not safe, but he won't listen to him due to the politics involved. Another tornado forms and heads towards the building. People evacuate, but there's still the problem of what to do about the vault storing all the microbes. The vault survives, but the rest of the building doesn't.
