This is another book in the Dresden Files series, but this one is rather different because it's told from the viewpoint of a type of vampire who is Dresden's brother. He seems to absorb life force from his victims.

He finds out about a plan to hurt if not kill Dresden and he sets about trying to stop the person behind it. There are references to the White Council, but there are also references to some kind of Vampire Courts. (I haven't read much of the Dresden Files yet; I've only seen the television series.)

Anyhow, I think it's a really neat book especially in the use of a totally different point of view.
