Crime Detective, March, 1949

This is a pulp that is the size of a normal magazine, but with a pulp-type binding (the edge appears slat.) I checked online and found sources that listed this specific magazine title as actually being a pulp.

There are a lot of photos in this magazine, unlike regular pulps.

I found some rather interesting ads. One was for a “Strip-Tease Necktie that Glows in the Dark.” There's one for a book called Bed Manners. Others include:

L'Ormone: Bust Cream

Sex Facts for Adults Only

The cover is rather sexy. The woman with the gun is aiming at another woman facing away from her.

Articles include:

Citizens fight King Con

Who Murdered Colorado's Co-ed?

The New York Police Get Their Man!

Phantom Slasher of Government Park

Tigress of Death and the Playboy Cop

Trapping “The Strangest Slayer in Kansas”

Murder for the Vanishing Jackpot

Fatal Tryst of the Strangled Housekeeper

Clue of the Enormous Footprints

A Blonde Spoke from the Grave

”There's a Woman in that Trunk!”

”Love Made Me Shoot Theresa”

Ten-Year Walk to the Electric Chair”
