Healing the World Crystal

In the movie THE DARK CRYSTAL a story was told of a world crystal that helped to keep everything in order. A group of beings from another planet had landed on Thra, the home planet, and decided to try and purge all evil from themselves.

In the process they split into two beings: the urRu, who were totally good and peaceful, and the Skeksis, who were totally evil and quite violent. The Skeksis shattered the crystal, turning it dark in the process and allowing them to use it to subdue the world. One shard of the crystal escaped their clutches, and was later found by one of two sole survivors of a peaceful race called the Gelfling that had lived on Thra, and had been nearly exterminated by the Skeksis.

With great difficulty, Jen and Kira, the two remaining Gelfling, managed to restore the missing shard to the crystal, thereby healing it. The urRu and the Skeksis were physically rejoined into the original beings; the planet of Thra was healed of the damage done by the Skeksis, and peace returned to the planet.

In this chapter we found the crystal stolen by the trickster fox; in THE DARK CRYSTAL the crystal was damaged by the evil Skeksis. In both stories the crystal was returned/healed, and peace restored to the land.

HEALING THE WORLD CRYSTAL MEDITATION

Get into a relaxed position in a dimly lit room. You can have soft music playing in the background if you wish. Calm your thoughts, and focus your attention. Hold a crystal in your hand (the exact crystal being one you are guided to hold).

In your mind's eye, see the planet Earth as a giant crystal, composed of all the crystals of the planet united into one. Notice the strong light that comes from the World Crystal; the light gives you a warm feeling, and also a feeling of great love.

Notice also that there are spots on the crystal's surface that are dark. These are the spots caused by the activities of humans: the raping of Mother Earth, the violent thoughts and deeds, the greed, the cruelty of humankind.

Now as you stand in front of the World Crystal call upon your guardian spirits and the totem spirits of Mother Earth. See light coming down from above, first entering your crown chakra, and then moving to the World Crystal. See the totem spirits and your guardian spirits standing around the great crystal, helping to direct the energy to the dark spots. Watch as the energy bathes those spots. Soon the spots begin to lighten in color; within moments they have disappeared, returning the World Crystal to a harmonious state of being.

Thank your guardian spirits and totem spirits for helping. See the link to the light above remain strong as it continues to pour into the World Crystal. Leave and return to your own room.
