The Gospel of Truth

Mark Mattison version.

"..whoever doesn't exist has no name."

Brilliant. Tremendous logic. Never would have thought of that myself.

"...the Father loves his fragrance and reveals it in every place. And where it mixes with matter it gives his fragrance to the light., and in tranquility he causes it to rise above every form and every sound."

So, God smells?

This is the type of nonsense in this book and, believe it or not, there are even worse passages, one so bad I ended up laughing out loud.

The only things that made any sense in the entire book were that it's hard to precisely define Gnosticism; and all come from God and will eventually return to God.

Probably one of the most nonsensical books I have ever read.
