Fall of Rome Prequel
The story takes place during season 2 of the series. SG-1 has killed some of Apophis' troops that are guarding a temple that has nothing to do with Apophis. A device triggers a holographic projection of a system lord named Ares who talks about another named Phobos who Ares defeated, with Phobos going to Earth to become the Roman god Mars.
Phobos ended up captured by Ares who banished him to the 'traitor's graveyard.' Then there's an article on the history and nature of the actual Roman gods. The article is very interesting and very well done.
