Tealc wants to go and rescue Jack but General Hammond will not let him go. Once the device on the stargate reaches a certain temperature it will cause a massive explosion. Jackson goes through the events that SG-1 had on their first trip through the stargate.
Carter comes up with a method that works. Then the decision is made to go rescue Jack. So far it's a good story.
