Raccoons

The raccoon in the first row on the right is Aldera the Wise.

I live in an apartment house and one summer when it was really hot I took the garbage out. It was a small bag and I threw it into the dumpster then turned to go back in but I heard something from inside the dumpster that sounded odd. I looked inside and there was a mother raccoon and her two babies inside. They had climbed in looking for food, I guess, but the dumpster was empty. There was no way for them to get back out and it must have been really, really hot in there.

I didn't see anyone around to help out so I looked around and found a couple of long pieces of 2 x 4 wood. I somehow managed to life them up and I put one leaning down from the dumpster door onto the ground, and the other inside the door leading down to the floor of the dumpster. I left and came back a short time later and the raccoons had gone.
