Pit of Peril
 |
It looks like an African documentary or something.
Some kind of something appears and starts tearing things apart.
It's some type of military device (notice it's American.)
The giant cockroach, uh, the military device, falls into a hole.
It explodes and catches on fire. (Shouldn't it be built better than to do that if it just falls down?)
Another vehicle lands.
Thunderbird 5, in space, picks up the transmissions as a man is lowered down into the hole to try and figure out the situation.
A second man went down to hook something to the craft so the helicopter could try and get it upright, while the second craft takes both men to a base hospital. The attempt doesn't work. (Not much of a military vehicle, is it, if all it takes to totally disable it is to knock it on its side. It weight too much to get upright easily.)
Thunderbird 2 is going to be needed to bring some heavy equipment to the site.
Thunderbird 1 launches a remote camera to examine the crater that the vehicle fell into.
The location had been a garbage dump for military equipment. Spontaneous combustion caused the fires to start and the military vehicle fell through a thin crust over the dump and on into it.
A device called the mole.
 |
The mole can somehow reverse its movement.
 |
Recovery vehicles fire magnetic grapplers onto the hull of the vehicle.
They start to pull the vehicle up the side of the crater.
They manage to pull the giant cockroach, uh, military vehicle, out of the pit.
