The Mighty Atom
 |
The location is a nuclear reactor facility in Australia, and the villain from the first episode shows up again.
As a result of a gun battle between the villain and a guard an explosion occurs.
More explosions occur.
And even more explosions. (I think the people making this show really liked to blow things up. )
A plane lands to take people away from the plant.
Yep, more explosions.
You guessed it, another explosion.
This explosion is an atomic one, however.
A press conference reveals information about a cloud of radioactivity spreading due to the explosion. The general talks about evacuating the city of Melbourne. A wind starts up, though, and blows the cloud away.
A year later another atomic plant opens.
Thunderbird 3 docks with the space station while the evil guy is planning to steal the plans for the atomic plant (which was so poorly constructed it blew up when one single part was damaged. Who would want such lousy plans, anyhow?)
Lady Penelope is visiting the island base.
A research facility has made a fake mouse that contains a camera and are calling it The Mighty Atom. (It is to be for spy purposes) (A technical error; when they are showing supposed photos that the mouse took, the puppet of the scientist is moving rather than being motionless as a photo would have)
The evil guy is posing as a scientist.
He takes the mouse camera to another atomic plant and has it take photos. He decides to destroy that station, too, and get International Rescue to show up so he can take their secrets.
And we're back to more explosions.
Thunderbird 1 launches.
Thunderbird 2 launches.
Thunderbird 2 releases a cargo container over the water.
We have the first appearance of Thunderbird 4.
Thunderbird 4 uses missiles to destroy the salt water intake.
The villain sends the mouse in to take photos of Thunderbird 2, but Lady Penelope is still in it. Suddenly you hear sounds of her screaming. The villain gets the mouse back, but it only took photos of Lady Penelope.
