Bloom comes upon a girl being attacked by a group of beings and comes to her defense, finding out she has powers she didn't know she had.
The girl's name is Princess Stella.
Bloom's parents don't believe her daughter's story about a girl who is a fairy with magical powers. Then Princess Stella demonstrates some of those powers.
Bloom is taken to a parallel dimension and shown the Alfea castle. She's also told there's a school for boys who will become heroes, and a school for witches.
Bloom's home is invaded and Stella transforms from regular-girl mode to fairy-mode. With the help of some of the boys from the heroes school the evil beings are defeated. The episode ends with Bloom's parents going to the other dimension to check out the school before they decide if she can attend Alfea or not.
Episode 2: More Than High School
Her parents are shown a slide show about the school. The students are welcomed to the school and the rules are explained to them. They are also warned about the witches.
Bloom (posing as a Princess so she could get into the school) meets Flora, one of her roomates. She then meets Techna, another of her roomates, and Musa, the last of her roomates.
Bloom and her friends go downtown for pizza but end up battling the witches. Bloom ends up telling the school administration that she's not who they think she is, but they allow her to remain there anyway.
Episode 3: Save the First Dance
The girls are attending classes and this is one of the teachers. Bloom, probably because she is so new to this and doesn't really know the source of her powers, is unable to do the magical things that the other girls do.
There's going to be a dance and the girls are getting their outfits ready. Meanwhile the witches at Cloud Tower are working on a way to sabotage the dance.
Once again the witches attack Bloom after she and the other girls countered the witches spell.
Bloom transforms into a fairy for the first time ever. She battles the witches and thinks she has lost Stella's ring but finds out the witches are in for a surprise of their own.
Episode 4: The Voice of Nature
The girls are on a nature field trip to a swamp.
The Red Fountain craft is taking a troll to interrogators, but the boy's aren't paying proper attention and the craft is shot down. The boys are very typical macho-pig style males, talking down to the girls when they meet. The troll has also managed to escape.
The girls have to rescue the guys. (Which shows just how far being macho got them).
The evil witches send the troll to limbo. Later Bloom comes up with the name Winx Club for their group.
Episode 5: Date with Disaster
The girls are peeling potatoes as part of a potion experiment.
Their experiment does not go as planned. Meanwhile, Princess Stella has gotten an invitation, supposedly from Prince Sky, to meet him that night.
Stella's rooms have been trashed. Stella attacks Bloom and the other girls later find out that Prince Sky never had issued any invitation.
The girls are led into a trap. They end up giving up Stella's ring in exchange for her life.
