Awakening

This is the fifth book in the Sweep series. Morgan is recovering from Cal's attempt to kill her by burning her to death. She tries to rebuild her life, with considerable difficulty. There is some form of dark magic afoot and it might, and might not, be after her. Hunter is still there and she is attracted to him and put off by him at the same time. Morgan is also trying to rebuild her relationship with Bree and some other friends of hers.

When Morgan finds out who might be using dark magic, she is again upset and feels betrayed somewhat. The person is hunted down and formal charges from the Council are brought against him, his powers being ripped out of his body by Hunter.

It's not a happy book, of course, but it's another good one in the series with events continuing to progress as Morgan has to deal with the fact that having considerable powers can cause very considerable problems in her life.
