Strangers on a Train

As in the first book this is not at all in diary form. I have no idea why they are calling the series Nancy Drew Diaries.

Anyhoo, this continues the story from the Arctic Star book. This time Nancy and the others are on a train that is going to take them somewhere they can take a variety of different tools. Fred, Mr. Hawaiian Shirt, remains a main figure and is mysterious for a good while. Scott, the excursion director, is mad at Nancy and gets even madder at her. There's a whole bunch of suspects.

There's also more attempts to hurt Nancy, including one to kill hill. Still, Nancy doesn't know who the real thug is but finds out revenge is a dish served anyway the thug wants it. A decent second book.
