This is the revised text from 1966 that was modified from the original 1933 text. The 1933 book had an additional “The” in the title.
The main plot of the story is a place that is pulling a major scam on older woman, convincing them that they can regain their youth if they pay enough money. The place has a lot of nasty people working there. Nancy sort of stumbles into the mystery when she finds a pigeon that is carrying a coded message. From then one thing leads to another, with Nancy making friends with one of the women and vowing to help her escape.
That's not easy, of course, and Nancy finds herself in a dungeon of sorts but shows her usual adaptability and ingenuity in finding a way to combat the evil-doers. In this case air-support is needed, though, and the end of the story is rather wild.
It's another good addition to the series.
