Monster #1

1953, Flying Stories Inc.

The Monster: 1853 in London, a typical mad scientist brewing up a potion. The guy ends up killing the older man he works for as an apprentice and flees. He has worked with an equally mad apothecary, and plans to continue his experiments. A guy that was due to be married finds him but gets knocked out and the scientist experiments on him, turning him into a monster that will obey his 'master.' The mad scientist finds out who he actually made a deal with.

The Mirror: A detective brings a runaway boy back to his step-mother. The step-mother has a deal with a spirit in a mirror.

Traitor's House: The story starts off from the viewpoint of an old house. A 'half-wit' is the only person who actually likes the house, though. A couple of Russians, apparently, catch the guy and lock him up in the house. The 'half-wit' looks at a mirror and sees the various evil deeds that were plotted in the house. The foreigners kidnap an atomic scientist, but spirits help him.

The Secret Files of Dr. Drew, Investigator of the Unknown: A guy was given the philosopher's stone by a relative and experiments with it but it does nothing. He loans it to a friend and something happens. Two people are made ancient and Dr. Drew finds Count St. Germain who says the stone is his (and acts much like Gollum when he had the ring.) Things don't go as the count plans, though.
