Neverland

Neverland #0

This is the start of an extremely dark take on Peter Pan and Neverland. It takes everything that people had grown up with about the story and turns it 180 degrees and then some. Peter is evil. Tinkerbell is his lover. Peter is an energy vampire of sorts. Wendy is grown with two nephews that live with her.

The story opens with a young boy being kidnapped. Then it moves on to introduce the grown-up Wendy and her family. It also introduces another character, named Nathan Cross.

Then we move to Neverland where Fenton, an established evil character, is meeting with Peter Pan, who is sitting on a throne. After this are some (pretend) notes about Nathan Cross from a psychiatrist, and then illustrations of characters that will be in the series including Hook, Pan, Tiger Lily, Tinkerbell, the Croc, and one of Wendy, Michael and John, her two kids.

Then there's a preview of The Waking.

Neverland #1

The cover of this issue is a little strange with the way the blond looks. Tinkerbell is also the size of a normal fairy, but in the story line she is regular human size.

Nathan Cross returns to his apartment. He recalls what happened to him twenty years early in Neverland. His brother had become a victim of the evil Peter Pan. Wendy and her two nephews go out to eat. Nathan gets arrested for stealing a wallet.

His psychiatrist comes to visit him in the jail cell. Wendy reads part of the Lord of the Rings to her nephews, whose parents are dead. Peter and Tinkerbell show up and abduct the two boys with Wendy unable to stop them.

Neverland #2

The psychiatrist meets with Wendy while Nathan is still in his cell recalling what happened in Neverland with the totally evil Peter Pan, and what happened to his brother. Peter Pan drains the life energy from young children to keep himself going.

Tinkerbell had been his lover, but he doesn't want much to do with her now and he treats her terribly. Then, somehow, the psychiatrist, Wendy and Nathan all end up in Neverland, and Nathan seems to be Captain Hook.

Neverland #3

The psychiatrist has a hard time believing what has happened and is worried he might be going crazy. The Native American tribe surrounds Wendy and the others, while back in Pan's castle it turns out he has taken Princess Tiger-Lily captive.

The tribe fights the trio and captures Wendy and the psychiatrist, while Nathan falls off a cliff. Pan's nastiest servant brings the princess back and demands Wendy in exchange. Nathan has survived, but he runs across ultra-nasty mermaids.

Neverland #4

Nathan fights the mermaids and is loosing when someone starts shooting them. He's brought aboard a ship and the crew recognizes him. Meanwhile Tinkerbell is jealous of Wendy. One of the ship's crew explains to Nathan how Neverland was a paradise until Peter Pan refused to leave and used his evil abilities to take over the area. He also killed all the fairies except for Tinkerbell.

Nathan's brother was taken to be used by Peter Pan. Nathan managed to escape but was unable to save his brother. Peter Pan kills the leader of the Native American tribe while Nathan is introduced to a bunch of ships and weapons the crew and others had been working on.

Neverland #5

There's a brief flashback where Tinkerbell meets Peter Pan and tells him how she is an outcast from the fairies for talking back to their leader. In the present time Peter has Wendy and the two boys as prisoners. The group that plans to attack is about ready to make their move. Tinkerbell supposedly releases Wendy, but it's really a ploy to just get her killed.

The attack gets under way but Peter Pan is too powerful for them, even with their relatively advanced weapons. Nathan fights Peter Pan and loses. Meanwhile Wendy runs into the croc.

========================================================================

Neverland #6

Wendy escapes from the croc. Peter Pan is messing with Nathan who has given up the fight. Peter realizes Tinkerbell let Wendy loose so he punishes her. Wendy finds Nathan and finally convinces him not to give up. They, along with the psychiatrist and some others, make their way to the castle and a secret entrance Wendy knows about. Peter is ready to feast on the energy of one of the nephews.

========================================================================

Neverland #7

Peter finishes off the croc. Tinkerbell attacks Peter from within her cage to stop him from killing one of the nephews. He retaliates and hurts her badly. Meanwhile Nathan and his small group enter the room and a fight breaks out.

Suddenly Peter finds things have changed most suddenly, and not in his favor, thanks to Tinkerbell.

There is somewhat of a question over whether or not Peter Pan was actually killed. It's probable he was, but it's not totally impossible that he might have somehow survived, but even if he did he would be lacking the power he had in Neverland.

Neverland One-Shot

Part 5 of the Dream Eaters Saga. This one doesn't have the Dream Eater in it at all. Rather, Pan is exiled on Earth and just as crazy as ever, if not more so, He kills older people to take what energy he can from them, but it's not enough. He's living underground when he is led to a woman who can supposedly help him.

She claims she can help him, but such help comes with a fairly heavy pricetag.

Not the best in the Dream Eater Saga.
