Sci-Fi & Fantasy Illustrated

Issue 1

The issue has one story. There's a guy that is attracted to a woman at work but he ends up thinking she doesn't want to date him. He goes to a special place that makes android-type women that are programmed to do anything their owners want them to and he orders one.

The android does cooking, cleaning, and is ready for sex at anytime, but has no original thoughts of her own. Basically, he can get all the sex he wants but there won't be any intelligent conversation as the woman has only what programming she was given.

(Although why the company didn't develop some kind of AI that would allow it to develop interests I'm not sure, unless they wanted to make sure the android was to remain permanently under the control of its owner.)

The guy tires of the android and it looks like the woman at work might like him after all, but things don't go exactly as he wanted.

Sci-Fi & Fantasy 2

This is about a not-impossible future where the public tolerance of violence has grown so large that a television series involving live coverage of murders becomes immensely popular. The story shows some of the murders and explains how the murders are orchestrated and the victims supplied by the network.

A very, very negative commentary on people's thirst for violence, especially as long as it is second-hand.
