Surpassed 300,000 steps today. Pikachu
is staying up later now. He was taking a bubble bath (instead of a shower) at 8:10pm. At
8:20 he brushed his teeth. After that he watched a little TV, then played with a cute
little radio-controlled car! |

Except for eating lunch and brushing
his teeth, Pikachu hasn't been doing any of his usual daily activities all morning. All
he's done is look back at me. However, at 12:45pm I checked on him, and he just stood
there, happily swaying back and forth with the happy heart over his head, so I guess he's
okay. :-) Later I found him studying for the first time: he sits at a little table and
reads a book. At 4pm I checked, and he was playing with a yo-yo! |

When Pikachu is studying, you can tap
the case or shake it once, and you will see what is going on in class! I did this in the
late morning, and found that the teacher was talking about pyramids in the desert, but
Pikachu envisioned the sand and beach where he plays! Another time I checked to see how he
was doing, shaking it once; and the teacher posed the math question: 9+2=? ,
but poor little Pikachu only had a ? over his head then. Saw Pikachu on a *skateboard*
when he was walking with me today! |

morning! I shook the case, and he woke up in a hurry! I shook the case again to see what
class he was in: English! Later this morning I checked to see what he was up to: he was
playing the piano. :-) |

Pikachu hasn't been doing anything
new, other than some of the activities he used to do in response to gifts of watts, he
does on his own now and then. :-) I thought I should write, as it's getting near the
time (999,999 steps) when Pikachu will be leaving me. I am not looking forward to it. |

When it got really close to 999,999
steps, I did the last few hundreds by swinging the case like a pendulum, to the music of
October Project's 2d album, "Falling Farther In". Then when he was just a few
steps away from 1,000,000, I called the rest of the household in, so we could witness
together Pikachu's accomplishment and goodbye. According to Shou Tsurugi's "Wake of
Pocket Pikachu" page (which seems to be gone now), mine now has the little message
box that says, "Congratulations!? You have reached 1,000,000 steps. Your record is
7111 hours." I am *thinking* of starting Pikachu up again.......
