Ranma's Birthday

Review

This is an excellent fanfic. It, like others of similar quality, takes a look at what is going on in Ranma's mind. Things done to him have mental and emotional consequences, consequences that we don't see in the actual series. Ranma has suffered terribly at his father's hand.

In this story Ranma becomes female to please his mother, but ends up remaining female and by that action ends up achieving the happiness she has looked for so long.

This is definitely one of the better Ranko fanfics.

Synopsis

It's Ranmas 17th birthday and he was really looking forward to it but Nodoka showed up unexpectedly, causing Ranma and Genma to jump into the pond and go into their cursed forms. This upset Ranma tremendously and she leaves as Ranko, dressed in a feminine manner.

Akane follows her and finds her in a park where she talks to her for a while, Ranko saying that she has no family at all, really. She tells Akane she will stay as Ranko for a while and goes on a shopping spree with Akane.

When they return Ranko models some of her clothes for Nodoka. They use the prepared birthday cake for her later and as she blows out the candles she makes a wish to have a real family. The financees are also there for the party and things go really well until Kuno shows up and grabs Ranko's breasts.

In a moment both his wrists are broken and Ranko goes to her room where she cries non-stop.

The story then takes a turn as Ranko's wish becomes real and she ends up as Ranko Tendou. Akane's mother is alive in this reality and has adopted Ranko after Nodoka and Genma were killed in a plane crash. Soun had died of a heart attack, also.

Ranko has to adjust quickly, trying to figure what is going on and if her past life was really a dream or not. She and Akane go to school where the Hentai hoard attack both, but Ranko proves to be extremely violent, dealing with them harshly and quickly.

Kuno makes another move towards her and she beats him brutally, breaking his ribs. She gets sent home where she and her this-world mother have a talk. Everything turns out wonderfully.
