Honor and Vengeance-A Tale of Two Souls

Review

This is an incredibly good, but unfinished, story. In this one Ranma is able to split into boy and girl sides. Both Ranma and Ranko end up as gods, although for different sides. Both want changes made in the Tendo household, and those changes are logical and good.

I really, really, really hope the author will continue this series as it has tremendous potential.

Summary

Prologue

Kami-sama is watching Ranma's life and is angry over how the people around him have become worse than they otherwise would be.

Akane gets made at Ranma and hits him into the sky, but this time he lands in some kind of strange room. A woman and a man appear.

Chapter 1

The male offers him a chance for revenge on those who have wronged him. The woman offers him a chance to re-define Honor. The man is a Demon, the woman a Goddess.

The Demon explains that Ranma's curse actually bonds another soul with his, and that's why none of the so-called 'cures' have worked; they don't deal with the other soul. Ranma asks for them to separate the other soul from his, and they do.

Chapter 2

The female version wants revenge, and she says she's in love with Ranma.

Ranma tells Ranko she can take revenge of a limited nature only against those who actually wronged him in the past.

They end up training in another realm, Ranma using physical means and Ranko using magical means.

Ranko explains to Ranma that she has been aware of everything that he has gone through, and that she fell in love with him, and asks her, if he can't accept her love, at least don't push her away.

Chapter 3

They arrive back at the Tendo dojo. Ranma has been gone for two weeks.

Ranko refers to Ranma as her husband. Kasumi is to get all the 'crew' together for an explanation.

Ranma explains what happened, and that Ametaerasu Omikkami and the Demon-Lord Onnotongu were the ones who made the offer. Both of them, incidentally, are older then they would normally be. Ranma has become God of Honor, first class, unlimited license. Ranko is Ranko Omikami, Demoness of Revenge, first class, unlimited license.

Ranko explains they are there to 'rectify a few past mistakes made by the panda.'

Akane, as usual, allows her temper to get the best of her and challenges Ranko.

Chapter 4

Ranko pulls out an 'ebon black War hammer' and proceeds to pound Akane into the ground.

Ryouga, Soun, Genma and Kuno move as if to attack Ranma for what Ranko did to Akane, but he tells them to sit down and shut up, and they do.

Ranma tells Ryoga off once and for all. Then he tells off Genma and Soun. He then tells off Mousse, and says he now hates Shampoo. Cologne wants to know what changed Ranma, and why he has no ki.

Chapter 5

Both Ranma and Ranko whisper to Cologne everything she's done good or evil in her life. It seems to drive Cologne bonkers.

Later Kasumi goes to talk to Ranma and Ranko and they are having sex. Ranko asks Kasumi if she wants to join in.

Next morning Genma tries to punt Ranma out a window, but Ranko hits Genma with 10,000 volts and he's the one who does the flying.

Akane gets mad again when Ranma says some changes in the home will have to be made. He explains to her that the family now has the favor of both the Heavens and the Hells (with Ranma and Ranko basically gods.)

He gives out his orders:

1. Soun will begin teaching again.

2. Kasumi is to go to college, at least part-time.

3. Nabiki is to stop her rackets.

4. Akane needs to get counseling.

5. Genma is to move back in with Nodoka.
