Lost Memory, Lost Manhood

This is a story based on an alternate series of events when Herb and Ranma battled. In this case an evil Ranma is produced and a good Ranma-chan, but a girl who has totally lost her memory. The evil Ranma is capable of incredible acts of viciousness and he wants to kill Ranma-chan and Ryoga gets attacked, also.

It's a fairly good story, approaching a female Ranma-chan from a different origin story than other fiction pieces. It's a very battle-filled, very tense type of story, moreso than almost any other Ranma-chan fiction piece I've read.

Prologue: Moose and Ryoga are heading towards the battle between Ranma and Herb. Ranma is reaching for the kettle that can unlock her curse when the mountain starts to collapse and the kettle falls into a ravine. The battle continues and it appears that Ranma and Ryoga have been killed and Moose escapes as a duck.

Chapter 1: Herb almost kills Ranma, but the mountain collapses and Ranma falls into some water.

Three years pass and Ryoga is still wandering around lost. P-chan has matured into being a wild boar. Ranma doesn't seem to recognize Ryoga, though.

Chapter 2: Ranma does not know what her name really is which is why she happily greeted Ryoga. He finds she's living in a run-down shack and the boar apparently belongs to her. Ryoga phones the Tendos. They don't know he's alive and Nabiki and Kasumi both faint when they hear his voice. Ranma chan talks to her family on the phone (it's a very funny conversation.) Ranma-chan remembers absolutely nothing of her former life, including the fact that she was born a male.

Chapter 3: Ranma-chan has a nightmare. Nodoka (at the Tendos) is demanding to know what has happened to the male Ranma. Genma has to show her how he turns into a panda before she will believe what she has been told (about the curse.) Nodoka ends up taking it fairly well. Several of the people set out to find Ranma-chan.

Meanwhile Ranma-chan and Ryoga have a normal fight (for them), and Ryoga ends up on top of Ranma-chan but is embarrassed and gets off of her, leaving behind a somewhat disappointed redhead. Mousse, meanwhile, is slowly going blind. He gets a call from Cologne and he has to go search for Ranma-chan also, Cologne noting that Ranma could be extremely, extremely dangerous.

Chapter 4: The chapter opens with a scene from the past where Ryoga attacked Herb and his minions Lime and Mint, apparently killing Lime in the process (or at least incredibly injuring him with two pick-axes.)

Meanwhile Ranma-chan is beginning to think she and Ryoga have been an item. Ryoga watches Ranma-chan as she allows her aura to come on and he sees something is extremely wrong. Her aura actually generates enough heat to set things on fire.

Chapter 5: Ranma-chan thinks she and Ryoga were a couple, even sexually, before her amnesia. They have an argument and Ryoga hits Ranma-chan; she goes into her room and cries. Ryoga finds out later that Ranma-chan had been living with someone called Isamu. Their relationship didn't work out, and Isamu died in an accident. Later in the chapter Ryoga encounters a male Ranma.

Chapter 6: the Ranma that Ryoga sees is intensely evil. It starts to strange Ryoga and wants to know where the female form of Ranma is. Ranma disappears for a moment, then reappears and continues his attack, using black chi as a weapon. He also reveals that he locked Herb as a female and then raped her.

Ranma-chan shows up and Ranma also attacks her, obviously trying to kill her. Ranma explains that when Ranma-chan fell into some water during her fight with Herb the water purified her. All the negative energies gathered and formed an evil male Ranma.

The evil Ranma plans to become complete by killing Ranma-chan and stealing her energy; if he doesn't, the imbalance of chi in his body will kill him within two months.

Chapter 7: The evil Ranma runs through the forest, cutting trees down left and right until he finds Ryoga and Ranma-chan again and viciously attacks Ryoga. Ranma attacks Ranma-chan and breaks her leg. Ranma comes close to killing Ryoga and Ranma-chan attacks the evil Ranma with fire.

Chapter 8: After a series of near-death visions Ryoga awakens in a hospital room with the Tendos, his parents and Ranma-chan there. Ryoga recovers in about 2 weeks, fights a now-blind Moose and then he and Ranma-chan have a short fight after which he ends up kissing her.

Epilogue: Kasumi and Mousse are married. Ryoga and Ranma-chan meet Ukyo, although Ranma-chan doesn't remember her. Cologne shows up at the resort where Ranma-chan and Ryoga have gone, and she talks to Ryoga. Shampoo attacks Ryoga, intending to kill him. Cologne tells Ryoga that Saffron is looking for Ranma-chan.

And there the story ends. The epilogue is subtitled “A glimpse of the future,” so it's possible there will be a sequel to the story.
