Movies on TV and Videocassette 1992-1993 Review

(Australia 1976) ***1/2 Rachel Roberts, Dominic Guard, Anne Lambert, Helen Morse. Mystical, dreamlike horror film which poses no easy answers to what really happened to a group of Australian schoolgirls who disappeared on Valentine's Day. Based on the novel by Joan Lindsay, the film is a rewarding entry for those who like their thrillers done with a subtle hand. (Dir: Peter Weir, 110 mins.)
