Saturday, May 7, 2011, 4:14pm: Tomorrow is Mother's Day. This will be the first Mother's Day that Mama is no longer on this plane of existence... I wanted to make a card by hand for her this year, to be sent via the Celestial Letter Box. I have only been fooling around with watercolours and still haven't seriously started the lessons that I plan to follow (Watercolour Secrets). Anyway, here is what I made, after lots of practicing. Saturday, July 30, 2011, 11:46am: Two things have been on my mind a lot lately: One: B. and I have started playing "Animal Crossing: City Folk" again! We have been playing every day; and every night I go out bug hunting and catching fish--tons o' money to be had! Two: we have been having horrible 90*+F. days here. It's wearing. :-/ 

Here is a watercolour I did yesterday: I used Reeves tube watercolours, Crayola crayons, coarse kosher salt, and Sakura Pigma Micron brush pens. It's called The Lost Comet (click on the photo to see it larger at Flickr):
