CountryMouse's Diary

Part 57

Tuesday, November 1, 2005, 9:35am: Whoops, sorry I didn't get back here sooner! I hope you all had a happy, fun, all-that-you-wanted-it-to-be Halloween/Samhain!  We did. :-)  We even got trick-or-treaters, for once! Some friends made a surprise visit and brought their six children over. They were SO CUTE! Brief madhouse, then they were gone all too soon.

Cat'r and Bunnicula watched a scary movie on Cat'r's computer while I played Animal Crossing in the living room and ran away from sugar-crazed townsfolk, trying to find the true Jack, the King of Halloween! I played Disney's Toontown Online earlier in the day and managed to be there when the Bloodsucker Invasion started! Those Cogs didn't know what hit 'em!  :-P  Toons swarming all over them, pies a-flyin'!

As usual I am behind in putting up graphic gifts I have been receiving. ::hopeless shrug:: Oh well! Soon soon.  :-P

Thursday, November 3, 2005, 12:01am:  I've been adding to my Wings of Love and Light section: some new things on the top dedication page and an entire section of Halloween gifts, which links to/is linked back from A Magic Time (my Halloween section)! Oh, there is also a Wings awards page now, plus a few more gifts have been added.

Tuesday, November 8, 2005, 1:02am:  Today is Election Day here in the USA. If you are eligible to vote, PLEASE DO!

Be Heard. Vote Today!

On another note: a new Weather Pixie, plus some other stuff, has been added to A Little Weather. That page, if I have not mentioned it before, is really just for my own use. :-D

Friday, November 11, 2005, 10:20am:  Another important day here in the U.S.: it's Veterans Day (used to be Armistice Day long long ago). Thank you to all who have served in times of war and times of peace. My father served in the Army Air Corps; and my uncle served for long long years and all over the globe in the Merchant Marines, both in wartime and in peacetime. Both of Bunnicula's parents were in the military--in fact, that's where they met!

Happy Veteran's Day

Monday, November 14, 2005, 1:21pm: A new poem, on the occasion of Cat'r having to move away temporarily.  :-(  He's gotten a year-long computer consultant job just far enough out-of-town that he can't commute daily. So he'll be living in an apartment in his work town and coming home on weekends. ::missing him!::

Sunday, November 27, 2005, 5:45pm: Urgh, I've had a bad cough/cold since...about the 18th? Even lost my voice over that weekend. Grrrr. I did get to see Cat'r that weekend, though; and he took me to Common Threads (one of my knitting/crochet groups). I am still getting over it, plus I am using antibiotic eye drops for conjunctivitis. ::sigh:: Cat'r couldn't come home for Thanksgiving since I was "highly contagious", so we didn't actually have Thanksgiving dinner. Maybe next weekend. Angel Karenality from Wings of Love and Light sent me this for Thanksgiving (thanks, sweetie!):

Happy Thanksgiving - Get Well

7:21pm: Updated my Wings of Love and Light events (awards and goodies) page! Wow, there's a lot going on there!
