Part 58

Animal Crossing: Wild WorldSaturday, December 3, 2005, 8am:  I admit it: I'm in a frenzy! I can't WAIT for Animal Crossing: Wild World for the Nintendo DS!! Its release date is Dec. 5th. We have copies on pre-order from EBgames.com. Hope they get here on Tuesday! (when games always hit the street) I am going to have Bunnicula go look for a couple strategy guides TODAY! I did have some on order, but it looked like it was going to take too long for them to get here! NOW NOW NOW! hehehehee

I don't know if I will be keeping a diary like I did for the GameCube version (which I still play from time to time--you *can* go home again!). So many other things going on: knitting and crochet, in-person RPG, etc. Uh, plus trying to finally shake this cough/cold. Geeeez.

Wednesday, December 7, 2005, 12:56pm:  Our copies of AC:WW were supposed to arrive yesterday but didn't (grrrrr!). Bunnicula ran over the GameStop We Hate and Boycott (we like one that is farther away, but not a good idea to hoof to in c-c-cold weather) and got me a copy. I was jonesin' soooo bad for it! So I started my town yesterday afternoon. And today I started a diary/journal for it. You can follow it here. The pre-ordered games *still* didn't get here today either, so Bunnicula hasn't been able to start his game. I'm hoping they show up tomorrow!

Friday, December 9, 2005, 6:08am: Still no AC:WW for Bunnicula. Maybe today??

I can hear someone running a gas-engine hand-held snowplow outside. We got about...5 inches? of snow since yesterday afternoon. Winter Wonderland Bunnicula can check on accuracy when he goes out later. Maybe he will take photos too. :-)

New entries in my AC:WW Diary! And yes, I actually did something useful yesterday besides play AC:WW. Heh. I did four loads of laundry, all of which had to be hung up, since most of my clothes are cotton and silk and would melt or shrink beyond visibility in our dryer here. :-P   Today: the bedding!

Tuesday, December 13, 2005, 9:54am: Didn't do the bedding yet. Hope to today.

Check the AC:WW Diary now--PHOTOS! Not great, though. Hard to get a clear closeup shot.

Thursday, December 15, 2005, 8:56am:  Maybe I'm almost well (*knock on wood!*). I need to get laundry done and get the Christmas tree up and other decorations too. Have to get packages sent off and then do Christmas cards! I think those last two might actually get done last minute! My shopping is done--just have to wrap and place under still-to-be-put-up little ceramic tree (I am not putting up the tree from last year, with all the little fiddly ornaments--just don't have the time or patience for it this year).

Cat'r is coming home this weekend (another *knock on wood!*). YAY!!! It's been a MONTH since I've seen him! EEEEEP!

Saturday, December 17, 2005, 5:22pm:  There is LOTS MORE in the Christmas section! More pages added, plus more things to come!

Monday, December 19, 2005: 8:36am: More has been added to the Christmas section. Particularly last night. I added more to What Christmas Means To Me. I re-read what I had written last year and thought, "Geez, that sounds so insipid and noncommittal!" So I added the part about Yule and what I *do* celebrate. What I said last year still holds true; but I gave it a little more flesh-and-bones this year.

Also more has just been added to the Animal Crossing: Wild World Diary.

Tuesday, December 20, 2005, 8:02am: A new poem, inspired by last night: going to my Stitch 'N' Bitch group, enjoying their company, laughing and commiserating, phoning my sister in Florida from there, Cat'r phoning me there from Louisville, all the comfort and wonder of the dearness of the season.

Merry Yule

Friday, December 23, 2005, 10:18pm: We drove around and looked at Christmas lights tonight! We were originally going to go tomorrow night, but it's supposed to be rainy then. I took a new little bear, Victor/Victoria (a pretty pink gift bear from Victoria's Secret), with me. But before we could go, I had to hurriedly crochet V/V a muffler! So I whipped up a little off-white double-crochet creation in about ten minutes. S/he looked warmer. It actually wasn't that cold out tonight, comparatively speaking. And the lights were just wonderful! We went by one of my annual favourites, which always has Santa and his sleigh and reindeer going up the roof, plus lots of other lights. Anyway, V/V transmitted all that s/he saw back to the bears and folk at home, so they all could enjoy.  :-)
