Part 62

Friday, June 2, 2006, 2:22am: It's ! Soon it will be time to be ! I do wish the weather would get lots cooler, though, so that we could have the windows open again. I am definitely a fan of cool weather.  :-)

I've finally gotten back to working on my photography section! I have a long way to go yet, but at least the rest of 2004 is now done. I left off/started up again here.

Sleeeepy. Oh, well, just in case, please don't forget to vote for me (if you feel so inclined) next week and so on. Here is where and how:

Saturday, June 3, 2006, 11:44pm: Atlas! I have finally caught up in my Coolpix photography section! When last I left you, I think it was on Page 22. Well, anyway, just start on Page 22 (or possibly back one page) and go the rest of the way through to the end of Page 25.  :-)

I still have SO MANY needlework photos to put up (but not now!). And stuffed animal pictures too! Later.

I am getting a Canon PowerShot A620 digital camera!! It's 7.1 megapixels! And my sis (who just got one herself) says that it *won't* look at the screen when you are taking photos out the window. My Coolpix has this problem of saying, "Ooo, ooo, SCREEEEN!" Me: "No no, look at INFINITY!!" "SCREEEEEEN!! Ooo, prettiiiieeee!" "NOOOO! Out THERE!!!" My sis says the Canon has great colour, does wonderful close-ups, and is just all-around great! She says I'm gonna love it!

Monday, June 5, 2006, 12:49am: ::WHEW!:: I have gotten all caught up in posting photos in my needlework section now! I worked for hours and HOURS on that today. But I'm glad to be current now. :-) 

Tuesday, June 6, 2006, 3:34pm:  I've done all that I can do at the moment to prepare on my site for the arrival of my Canon PowerShot camera! (see above) Here is the Mouse with Canon! section.

7:17pm: Ack! I got an email saying my camera won't ship until the 13th or so.  :-(

Wednesday, June 7, 2006, 7:14am: After I posted the above last night, I phoned Dell. It seems that they are awaiting more of that camera pending "availability from the manufacturer". I cancelled my order with them. Then I ordered the same camera (at a better price) from newegg.com, where my sister got hers. I got an email confirming my order. I am hoping they still have at least one in stock! ::crossing fingers!::

Thursday, June 8, 2006, 5:07am: From me to me, because tomorrow I will be having an ultrasound-guided core needle biopsy on the right ("healthy") side. Something showed up on the mammogram yesterday that was not there last year. They have to find out what it is.

Saturday, June 10, 6:15pm: Had the test yesterday; won't know the results until next Tuesday. Rested and used ice packs yesterday--Cat'r waited on me hand and foot. ::grin::

Yesterday my new camera arrived. Cat'r played with it some; I was too tired and just didn't feel like fooling with it much. I did more with it today, but I don't have any pics I feel are good enough to put up on the Web yet. :-P

Installed FrontPage 2003. Yay! It is able to understand I really *do* have a website this big without schizing out on me. :-P

8:46pm: I have a LOT to learn about my new camera! But here are some pictures that I took a little while after that last entry. It's been chilly and rainy today. But everything has a fresh colour to it. Also here is a new picture (finally!) in the Fuzzy Fotos section.

Yayayayayayayay! I got my results of the core needle biopsy (that I had last Friday). BENIGN! Yayayayayayay!

All I have to do is go back in 6 months for a mammogram and ultrasound on that side.

Thank you ALL for all the prayers, good thoughts, and good wishes. I am certain they had a lot to do with things turning out well! :-)

Friday, June 16, 2006, 6:48am: I just finished Uglies by Scott Westerfeld last night--great book! It's set in a post-apocalyptic so-called Utopia. It addresses true beauty, true freedom, and a lot more. Fast paced! It's the first in a trilogy. I started Pretties this morning.

Monday, June 19, 2006, 8:47pm: On Saturday Cat'r, Bunnicula, and I went to Build-A-Bear Workshop! Cat'r made a bear and a monkey; B. made two bears and a Hello Kitty; and I made a Sassy Kitty and  Hello Kitty. And B. and I bought lots of clothes for our people TOO! 4:35pm: I have put new photos of all my remaining Briarberry bears and their friends up on that page. The others, as I had said in April, had gone to Goodwill. I hope they all found good homes...

5:17pm: I finished Pretties earlier this afternoon, and I can't wait to get started on the third book in this trilogy, Specials! Wow, it's fast-paced and thought-provoking!

Please send healing thoughts and prayers to Sicara, a young lady in one of my online groups. She is very sick from an infection. Her immune system is not working at this point. Thank you for any and all healing energies.

Tuesday, June 27, 2006, 6:49am: Sicara (see above) is doing better!! But keep up the prayers and good energies! She's a fighter, but this last bout was a doozy! Woo woo, doin' the happy dance!

3pm: Okay, for all you folks who wrote and said I should update my Animal Crossing diaries and stop being lazy and all that, I did. Well, the AC:WW diary anyway. But please be aware (and read here in CM's Diary, to see what ELSE might be going on in my life) that I do have many interests beyond just Animal Crossing or Tamagotchi (which is also not up-to-date) or whatever else your particular interest is in this site. I also have an offline life. Not to be snippy, but I can't do everything all the time. Sometimes I just want to go read.

Speaking of which: I finished Specials a couple days ago (very satisfying ending!), then gobbled up a wonderful book by L. M. Montgomery (author of the Anne of Green Gables series, plus much more) called The Blue Castle (click the picture at right to see it larger). I am currently reading At Home in Mitford, a very peaceful pleasant book. It reminds me of the small-town doings of Fairacre and Thrush Green, chronicled by Miss Read--delightful books!
