4:54pm: A couple new things: I made a page of rest, a place of peace. It's called Sanctuary. That's been there for about a week or so.

Today I made a new set of beads. They are here.

Thursday, July 5, 2007, 1:48pm: Beads, beads, fun with beads.    Here are two bracelets I did today.

One is a restringing of one I did back in May. I was not happy with the tightness of it. I couldn't use all the beads in the kit, as it would've been too loose; but leaving some beads out made it too tight. When I took my finished bracelet back up to World of Beads last month, a helpful clerk selected two smaller bicone beads to put at the ends. That made it just right!

The other bracelet is one that the clerk helped me create while I was there. I chose the red, orange, and yellow beads; she suggested the small black bicone beads as spacers. She helped me with length and findings and such.

Samsung Q1b UMPCFriday, July 20, 2007, 1:11am: I've been talking a lot about this over in my LiveJournal (this entry and following). I got a new computer! It's an Ultra Mobile PC (UMPC). It's a Samsung Q1b. To your left is a commercial picture of it (click on the pic to see it larger). To see LOTS of photos of *my* Samsung Q1b UMPC, go to this page! I know, I know, I have other updating to do in the Canon photo section. But I'll fill in the gaps at some point, just not now. :-)

Tuesday, July 24, 2007, 4:03pm:  I never know whether to post here or in my LiveJournal.

Tomorrow we're going to have to evacuate for a few hours while workmen put in new vinyl replacement windows! No more putting up plastic to the windows for wintertime! And no more screens that don't fit and have to have duct tape around the edges to keep out bugs!

When we go tomorrow, we'll be going to a coffee shop. Which one I haven't decided yet. But I'll be taking my UMPC along! I already took it with me last week when we had a power outage and went to Starbucks, seeking working air conditioning! Tomorrow I think I'll also take along some knitting and a couple books, just in case. :-)

So anyway, back to my first sentence. If you don't see updates here, always look for me at my LiveJournal [now moved to CountryMouse's Refuge]. I can post there from ANYwhere and ANY computer (of which I now have three: my desktop, my laptop, and the UMPC)!

9:22pm: OMG, so as soon as I say you can always find me on LiveJournal, I can always post there, what happens? They had a power outage in their data center and are totally offline. I wonder how long this will be...

9:48pm: Okay, new mantra: if you don't see me here, check my LiveJournal [EDIT: moved to CountryMouse's Refuge] first. If you can't get to LiveJournal, go to CountryMouse's Yahoo! 360* Blog. ::sigh:: Too many blogs...

Monday, July 30, 2007, 8:03pm: ATLAS! (as my Uncle F. used to say in his letters, meaning of course "at last!") I have updated my Animal Crossing: Wild World diary. Go read, if you are so inclined.
