Saturday, May 5, 2007, 10:03pm: We went on a trip to the other side of town this morning/noon (we had our passports ready, but we somehow missed all the checkpoints!). We went to Hobby Lobby and Michaels--beeeeaaaaaaadsssss!  :-P  Then lunch at a Cincinnati institution: Frisch's Big Boy. After that, Half Price Books--we all found some interesting things! Then home again. Anyway, the point of this ramble: here are some photos I took with the PalmPix. Yes, they are grainy pics. That's the nature of the beast.

Monday, May 7, 2007, 12:58pm: These photos will eventually show up in the Mouse with Canon! section too, but I am really behind in updating that at present. This is a necklace I made this morning for Mama for Mother's Day. It's red glass beads strung on Beadalon 49-strand wire. I hope she likes it. :-) [ETA May 13th: I've started a new page, for non-sacred jewelry I've made, so these photos will be there also, but not in Mouse with Canon! section]

Thursday, May 10, 2007, 5:45pm: I made a new set of prayer beads today. They are here.

Monday, May 14, 2007, 12:25am: Okay, I now have a bead section, since I've started making necklaces and plan to make a bracelet Real Soon Now (I bought a little bracelet kit today at our local bead store). I also have, somewhere, a couple older necklaces I made 10-15 years ago! I'll dig those out and photograph them too. I'll probably take a mass photo of a bunch of seed-bead chokers and matching bracelets I made some time back also.

1:06pm:  I made the main Bead Index page a bit more colourful (if you don't see it, refresh your browser). And I added the older necklaces and bracelets to the Mousie's Baubles page (again, refresh if you are not seeing them).

Tuesday, May 15, 2007, 3:39pm: Bizzy mouse. I made a new set of Anglican prayer beads and a protection bracelet today. I'm thinking about a protection necklace too...And maybe some Mother Night beads tomorrow. I want to get finished with any protection and/or banishing work before the New Moon, which happens at 3:27pm (Eastern Daylight Time) tomorrow.

6:07pm: Well, Mother Night beads actually became a set of beads dedicated to Hecate. I did some further research on Hecate and came away wondering why I hadn't drawn closer to her sooner! Here is a good page about her.

Anyway, I think I am "beaded out" for today, so the protection necklace can wait until tomorrow.

Wednesday, May 16, 2007, 3:04pm: I made the protection necklace that matches the bracelet I made yesterday (new/different photos). And I totally restrung the Hecate beads (also new photos). I was not happy with the way they turned out yesterday.

Sunday, May 20, 2007, 3:23pm: I finished reading Miss Potter some time back (see last book-related entry here). Since then I seem to be reading several books at once: A String and a Prayer by Eleanor Wiley and Maggie Oman Shannon; Pagan Prayer Beads by John Michael Greer and Clare Vaughn; The Sewing Circle: Sappho's Leading Ladies by Axel Madsen; and Angels 101 by Doreen Virtue.

This last book ^ prompted me to make a set of Anglican Prayer Beads dedicated to Michael the Archangel. You can see them here.

11:58pm: I've added prayers now that can be said on the St. Michael Anglican Prayer Beads.

Tuesday, May 22, 2007, 8:21am: Squeeeeeee! I never thought I would ever win this!! I won the Garden of Friendship's Site of the Week Award!! I am so thrilled! ::does the happy dance!::

I love being in the GOF--I am currently representing my committee, Membership Pride, in The Committee Tournament Challenge. There are 4 events: Backgammon, Cribbage, Hearts, & Spades. I am playing Hearts. DH taught me this, and I love to play! I won my first round against Jus Kuntree, who is a fun, chatty, and tough competitor!

12:55pm: I have joined the PSP Angels Realm in Wings of Love and Light. I am once again learning new things in PaintShop Pro.    Here are the results, so far, of my efforts. This page/section can be accessed via The View > etc. > PSP Angels Realm. [EDIT July 7, 2008: I am no longer in this Realm due to inactivity, but my results for two months are still there].

Friday, May 25, 2007, 8:02pm: Dearest Cat'r: I'm so glad we met lo, these many moons ago! ::mouse refrains from getting totally mushy in public::  hehehehehe

On a different note: I made another set of beads today. They are here.

Sunday, May 27, 2007, 11:07am: I am slowly going to add back in all the gifts, awards, and other goodies from The Garden of Friendship that I received when I was first a member in 2004. I had taken those down when I left the GOF in November 2004. Then when I rejoined, I just started everything anew (except for two angel sections and the GOF Haunted House page). So my first re-addition(s) are the welcome gifts I received the first time, in 2004. I hope nothing is broken. I've tried to find all the things that have changed.

Monday, May 28, 2007, 12:04am: Today is one of those dichotomous holidays here in the USA--part solemn and respectful, part having a fun time with family and friends, going to a parade, grilling out, etc. However you celebrate this day, may you have a safe and good holiday. And remember that this all started as Decoration Day, a day to honour the soldiers who have died and to "decorate" their graves. Oh yeah, and the REAL Memorial Day is May 30th. Here is my little Memorial Day page.

Tuesday, May 29, 2007, 3:49pm: Well, I do believe I've gotten all the Garden of Friendship gifts and awards and such from 2004 back up. Wow, that was a job! I had changed some things when I began my 2005 pages, so I had to do some *other* work to make things right. Plus there were old, broken links (new guestbook, new email address). Anyway, you will find all of that over in my Garden of Friendship Dedication section. What a great group! I'm very glad to be a part of it.

Heh. Now all I have to do is update my Garden of Friendship Dedication section--I haven't since last October, I think!--and my Wings of Love and Light Dedication section. And I think I'm behind on some things in my Webtown Spirit pages. Oh and lots of other things too. ::grin::

Wednesday, May 30, 2007, 11:40am: Today is the traditional, "real" Memorial Day/Decoration Day here in the U.S.

In loving memory on Memorial Day 2007

8:33pm: I can't believe I did it already, but I'm all caught up in updating my Garden of Friendship Dedication section! For now, anyway.

See what's up around the house by going over to my LiveJournal. ::sigh:: What an upheaval.

10:41pm: Well, believe it or not, I've finally finished my Christmas/Yule section for 2006.  :-P I think I still have some Christmas things from WebTown to put up, but that will go in its own section. Anyway, if it's hot where you are, like it is here, then thinking about snow and Christmastime might help.  :-)
