Yes, I'm still on my new/old craze of fountain pens. I have gotten a couple new ones. See here (it hasn't arrived yet) and here.

We've been having fairly hot weather here for about the last week...well, hot for here, for this time of year--highs in the low 90's. Today is going to be about 10*F. cooler, which is a welcome relief. The next few days will be back up there, then normal temperatures seem like they will return for the weekend.

Cat'r, Bunnicula, and I went to see Jonathan Coulton in concert last Thursday night! It was so much fun! Read about it here!

7:59pm: I just finished reading The Friday Night Knitting Club by Kate Jacobs. This was so worth reading. I thought it was just another book about women and bonding over knitting, etc. It was, but much more than that, much deeper than that. After you have finished this book--and you SHOULD read it--go to Walker & Daughter's website.

Wednesday, June 11, 2008, 1:18pm: I started a new book today: Cranford by Elizabeth Gaskell. She was a contemporary of Charles Dickens. The only problem with my copy of the book is that in the Notes in the back, there keep being references to the Introduction, the Glossary, and various appendices, which are not in my edition. Bunnicula looked for a different edition at our nearby brick-and-mortar bookstore, but alas no better luck. I'll have to muddle through with the Notes alone.

In good news: today I won the Garden of Friendship's Dedication Site of the Month Award! I am shocked, as I haven't been updating those pages for almost a year ::looking ashamed:: I love being in the Garden and it's always such an honour winning one of their awards!

Thursday, June 19, 2008, 4:19am: I'm gradually working on my Garden of Friendship Dedication pages. So far I have put up the gift pages from our wedding anniversary last August and my birthday last September. Links to them are on this page.

Friday, June 20, 2008, 3:33pm: Here are the new pages I made for the Garden of Friendship Tournaments I've played in. I didn't do so well during the Cupid's Tournament this year--eep! I will try harder during the GOF 8th Birthday Bash Battles next month! I'll be playing Hearts. I didn't participate in the Spring Fun Tournament in April. That was happening during the run-up to my oral surgery. I didn't feel I had the time to devote to that. In other words, I was too busy worrying. ::grin:: Perhaps playing games would've helped!

Saturday, June 21, 2008, 7:54am: Can anyone tell me what happened to Vikimouse? To the MousePad Orphanage? To any of the other activities and graphics this remarkable mouse, errr woman used to have up online? Here is the last time I wrote about it, I think.

Here is my mouse orphan. I got into it very early on, before the more fancy and sophisticated houses and communities were constructed.

Monday, June 30, 2008, 2:38pm: I've been working on a new section in my Garden of Friendship dedication pages: it's for the GOF 8th Birthday Bash!! The party starts tomorrow and lasts the entire month of July! I've got a main page, a page for my quilt, a page for adoptions, and a page for games & awards (I will be playing Haaaarts, me hearty, in the Birthday Battles!). Go see!

Also, I've been joining some new webrings. I have about four that are still "in the queue"/waiting to be approved. Well, that number may go up--I may join some more webrings today. ::grin::
