I have read literally hundreds of Ranma 1/2 fan fiction pieces. The ones I'm referring to on this page are the absolute best ones I have found that are about Ranma-chan or Ranko. Some of the works are individual pieces, and some are series. They range from those that are very funny to those that are heartrending.
My criteria for including stories in this section are as follows. (Please note; these are my own personal criteria and may or may not match what other people believe, so my comments about the stories and even the stories I choose to include are very subjective matters.)
1. Ranma-kun (male Ranma) becomes female most of the time or permanently, preferably in a voluntary manner, and likes being female. I will also include stories like the Richard Lawson series where Ranma-kun becomes female involuntarily, then is later able to change but decides to stay female most of the time.
2. A separate female form of Ranma comes into being either by being born directly or is created by some form of magical or semi-magical means. The female form likes being female and chooses to remain that way.
3. Except in very rare circumstances I will not be including stories that involve crossovers or in which Ranma-chan/Ranko get raped. I also will rarely include stories in which one or more of the main characters is killed off right away unless his/her/their death makes sense and is possible within the context of the actual series.
On this page I will have the story title and a link to a page where you can find the story. Below that will be a link to a page I have with will be a synopsis of the story along with a brief review of the story that I have done. My synopses will be fairly detailed (sort of like a Cliff Notes of Ranma-chan fan fiction); spoilers will be present. For long series, I will even do a chapter-by-chapter synopsis. The reason I'm doing it that ways is that I've got a dozen notebooks of Ranma stories and am adding more all the time. It's hard on me to keep things straight, so I find if I read the story then write down the main things that happened, it helps me remember the story but does not at all keep me from wanting to read it again (and again, etc.) If this is not the type of thing you like (as far as fairly major summaries go), then please just read the original story and skip my writings about it entirely.

One final warning: some of the stories contain sexual activities. I was originally going to list those in a separate section but a lot of the stories either have something which is overtly sexual (two people having sex, for example), or can be implied to be sexual, or can involve relationships with or without sex between two people of the same gender. So, I decided just to list the stories in alphabetical order and let people read the stories and form their own opinion.
